Reblooming Purple Roses…Down to -40 Degrees
Why Purple Pavement Roses?
Large, ruffled blossoms in a purple-red color meet strong fragrance, setting the Purple Pavement Rose apart from the rest. The Purple Pavement is also known for its ability to deliver dependable repeat blooms from spring to fall, with a late display of large, handsome red pops of color alongside its yellow autumnal foliage.
That means you get rich color for four months, even down to an unbelievable -40 degrees. A rose that thrives in hot climates and frigid cold? It s almost unheard-of, but with the Purple Pavement, you ll have vivid, unique variation through the toughest climates and conditions, May through September.
If you want cold-hardy color, this is the rose for you. This is one of the only roses you can grow up north…especially with vibrant purple hues. Growers from New England to Minnesota can now get a pop of color that s beyond traditional evergreen growth.
It s a hybrid variety, combining the most sought-after qualities of two separate plants in one package. That means the Purple Pavement offers incomparable purplish-pink, nearly double flowers, intoxicating fragrance, and carefree growth. You also get a rounded, more compact habit that stands up to salty air, northern climates, and smaller spaces with ease. Unlike other lower-maintenance varieties, the Purple Pavement gives you carefree growth without sacrificing beauty or fragrance.
Each rose is bigger and better than any you ve seen. The Purple Pavement s purple-pink full blooms boast golden centers produced in clusters for an eye-catching pop. If you ve been looking for a low hedge, manageable container plant, or one-of-a-kind color shrub for your borders, look no further than the Purple Pavement.
Best of all, it thrives on neglect and still grows exceptional roses, even by the sea or in freezing cold areas that aren t suitable for most rose varieties. Despite tough conditions, Purple Pavement provides the look of a master rose garden without pruning, trimming or deadheading. From gorgeous groundcover to containers by your front door, the Purple Pavement will wow your guests and neighbors.

Planting & Care
1. Planting: Choose a spot with well-drained soil and full sun (6 to 8 hours of sunlight per day).
Plant your Purple Pavement in a hole twice as wide but just as deep as the root ball. Water immediately to establish roots. Add a 3-inch layer of mulch to conserve moisture.
If you re planting your Purple Pavement in a container, select a pot that s about twice the size of your plant s shipped container and use organic soil. Place your rose, water to settle its roots, and find a sunny spot on your porch or patio to place your container.
2. Watering: Water your rose weekly, or check the surrounding soil. When the soil is dry about 2 to 3 inches down, it s time to water your rose.
If your rose is container-planted, water until you see it flowing from the drainage holes at the bottom of your pot.
3. Fertilizing: Feed with a liquid rose fertilizer. Apply once in the spring and once in the summer, and follow the instructions on the package.
4. Pruning: Other than shaping, no pruning is required for your Purple Pavement.
