Snowy White Flowers on Gorgeous, Carefree Vine

Why Henryi Clematis Vines?

Henryi Clematis is known for its large blooms that last all summer! It works great as an accent plant, grouped on a fence, trained on a trellis, or even climbing your mailbox. Whichever way you use it, Henryi Clematis is a no-fuss vine that requires little maintenance.

In fact, this is the plant that most beginner gardeners use for an easy-to-maintain climbing vine. It is a great way to create vertical color in areas that are dominated by shrubs. Many gardeners love this vine because it is a repeat bloomer. Expect flowers to burst in early summer, and again around September.

Planting & Care

1. Planting: Plant your Clematis in a spot that receives full sun but is safe from cold, dry winds. If you need to plant your Clematis in the shade, make sure the shade is open and warm. Shade over the roots can be helpful but not necessary. Plant in a hole that is twice as wide but only as deep as the root ball. Do not over-cover the top of the root. Water to settle.

2. Watering: This vine can tolerate wet or dry conditions. Be sure to water the vine weekly in its young life to ensure proper growth. After a couple of years, you only need to water the tree during very dry spells. Avoid overwatering if you live in a humid climate.

3. Pruning: Pruning is not necessary and can inhibit growth if overdone. Only prune overcrowded or tangled areas in late winter.
