Virtually Maintenance-Free, Dome-Shaped Shrub

Why Cryptomeria Globosa Nana Shrubs?

A beautiful, heavy-textured evergreen shrub, the Globosa Nana is as versatile as it is eye-catching. It s perfect as a focal piece in an entryway or a foundation plant since it holds its attractive dome shape without pruning.

Not only will you be able to leave your pruning shears in the utility shed, but this easy-to-grow shrub is also drought- and deer-resistant, saving you valuable time to tend to your other landscaping needs. And if you need to spruce up your patio or deck décor, the Cryptomeria can be planted in a container to add a splash of green to any outdoor living space.

Planting & Care

1. Planting: Start by selecting an area with full to partial sun (4 to 8 hours of sunlight) and well-drained soil.

When you re ready to plant your shrub, dig a hole that s large enough to accommodate your shrub s root ball, place your shrub and backfill the surrounding soil. We recommend mulching around the area to conserve moisture, and watering to settle the roots and finish the planting process.

2. Watering: Ensure your water your Globosa regularly, about once or twice weekly, or more in drought conditions. If you re not sure when to water, simply check the surrounding soil about 2 to 3 inches down. If the soil is dry here, it s time to water your tree.

3. Fertilizing: If you notice slow growth, fertilize your Globosa Nana in the spring with a well-balanced blend and follow label instructions.
